Although NOT tarantulas, wolfspiders make great pets. They do not need a burrow and are happy to roam around above ground in search of prey. There exeptionaly good eyesight enables them to spot their prey from a distance. Unlike most spiders who wait for their dinner to come to them, wolfspiders stalk and chase down their targets making them very interesting to watch. Wolfspiders also lack the scopula pads of tarantulas, meaning like most other spiders, they cant climb smooth surfaces.

I found Wolverine whilst collecting rocks for my tarantulas tanks. She was in a shallow burrow with an eggsac she gaurded protectivly.
The mothers carry the sac by strong silk that is produced from the spinnaretts.
Wolfspiders have inward facing fangs that act like pincers.
Notice the four huge eyes, two face forwards and two face back, giving them the ability to watch everything around them.
March 3rd
Wolverine bit a hole in the eggsac to allow her 2nd instar young to crawl out and onto her back.
You can see the holes the mother made
Inside the eggsac. 1st and 2nd instar young
