Species Description
Stents Birdeater or Phlogus Sp.Stents is a dark coloured chunky spider that reaches sizes of 160mm+. The males of this species grow quite a bit larger than the females but are not as chunky. A fast growing and good looking spider.
I have found Fluffy to be extremely active. She has six burrow enterances but stays above ground for a few hours everyday. Fluffy has to be my least skittish tarantula and wont flinch when you take the lid off her conainer making her a great pet to observe
September 3rd 2008
Fluffy the 40mm Stents arrived. Im guessing she was 4th instar at this size.
October 9th
Fluffy moulted into a 5th instar spiderling
This one kept her moult in good condition
January 8th 09
Fluffy moulted again. She is now 6th instar and growing fast.
By this time she was getting around 50mm meaning she is now classifies as a Juvenile instead of a Spiderling.
March 29th
Fluffy moulted into a 70mm Juvenile. She's at her 7th instar now.
